Account deletion policy
Leaving Atrium closes your account permanently. This page describes the deletion process operated by Atrium Town Company.
How to request deletion
Open your profile, choose Account settings, and find Leaving Atrium. Choose Delete account, review the confirmation, and confirm Delete account. A recent sign-in is required. You can choose Keep my account before confirming; once submitted, the request cannot be undone. You do not need to email support to start deletion.
What closes immediately
Atrium closes your account for sign-in, revokes its sessions and live connections, removes your personal profile and sign-in records, and prevents the retired identity from being reused. References that still need an anonymous label say “Former neighbor.” An uploaded avatar loses read access and is scheduled for erasure. Retry processing completes interrupted account-record removal.
Content cleanup within 30 days
Deletion is operator-assisted. Atrium’s operator removes associated posts, uploads, document contributions, history and other personal data within 30 days of the saved request. The private receipt shows the deadline and stays pending until cleanup is verified. Your personal space is deleted with its contents. Shared spaces stay available to their other members; ownership and your contributions are handled during cleanup.
What may remain
Anonymous references and minimal permanent identifiers needed to prevent reuse of a deleted identity may remain. Records are preserved beyond deletion only when legally required. Atrium cannot recall copies that other people, devices or external services have already saved. Optional avatar-generation providers handle their copies under their own terms, as described in the privacy policy.
Your receipt and devices
The device where you request deletion clears account caches, pending edits, drafts, preferences and session credentials, and keeps a private deletion receipt. Open deletion status on that device to check progress without signing in. If local cleanup fails, clear Atrium’s app or browser data on that device. Other devices may retain previously obtained copies even though the account can no longer authenticate.
Sign in with Apple
Atrium revokes Apple tokens it holds, retrying if needed. If an older account has no usable revocation token, the receipt explains how to disconnect Atrium in Apple Account settings. This does not delay your deletion request.
Questions or a missing receipt
Contact hello@atrium.town about a deletion request or missing receipt. Never send your private receipt token. See the privacy policy for Atrium’s broader data practices.
